Friday afternoon William and I headed downtown to see Dan's new office renovations. William loves mass transit, so we always travel downtown in style. This time we rode the 7A bus from Shirlington (our neighborhood stop) to the Pentagon. At the Pentagon we got on the metro train and rode all the way to Union Station.
We timed all the travel perfectly and since it was 4pm on a Friday, we were in the beginning stages of rush hour. Because of all the crowds, I was not able to take any pictures of our journey on the bus and train. I was too busy holding onto William's hand and hoping we didn't get separated. Big city living folks!
Nevertheless, we made it downtown in about 35 minutes. We bought Dada a treat (M&M cookie) at Union Station and walked over the Hart Building on Capitol Hill. William remembered Dada's floor number and we rode the elevator up, up, up. He even knew exactly where to go once we got off. Dada and all his coworkers were thrilled to see William.
William was thrilled to see that Dada's computer provided access to YouTube and so they settled in to watch a few airplane videos before we left.
