Opening Night at the Bartlesville Kiddie Park 2014 Trip #1

We took the kids to opening night at the Bartlesville Kiddie Park.  We go a few times every year and each trip is more fun than the last one. The park opens at 7pm and so we went out to eat beforehand.  Then we were the first ones through the gates!

Anna is older this year and the perfect age for the small vintage kiddie rides.  Anna and Adeline had a great time sharing seats on the pony ride and the monster trucks.  Anna LOVED riding in the tiny little toddler cars.  She sat right down and let Dada buckle her in her seat.  When the ride stopped, she HATED getting off.  So, Anna took LOTS and LOTS of turns on the pony ride and race cars.

It was so much fun to watch her enjoy the amusement park because this year she really understood what was going on.  You could see the joy on her face the whole night!

Adeline loved it too.  She is also the perfect age for all the little rides.  Oh my goodness, she couldn't get enough of them.  She loved the swings, the roller coaster, the flying airplanes and all the tiny cars.  At the end of the night, Adeline chose the pink monster trucks as her last kiddie park ride.

William also had fun.  But, the kiddie park is almost too young for William.  Mostly, he is too tall for a majority of the rides.  However, because the park was not crowded, many of the workers let his height slide and allowed him to ride all the rides with his sisters.  Some of the pictures are funny because I can tell in William's face that he was embarrassed to be on the ride or he was just over the "wow" factor.   Oh well, he's a great sport and VERY helpful with his sisters.  He enjoyed watching them on the rides and he even sat next to Adeline on the big roller coaster.

This was only our first trip to the kiddie park this year.  In a few weeks, we are coming back!
